Four years ago, we came together as a loose-knit group of diverse individuals, collectives and associations from East German underground culture and, by joining forces, were able to bring our vision of a unique festival to life. A festival for connoisseurs of electronic music and its fringe scenes, with the aim of striking the right balance between fame and trends. Lovingly curated in every respect, politically and sustainably at its core, and accompanied by that special vibe, we are creating a festival that is here to enchant you and us for years to come.

For us, Chimaera is: a self-created, vibrant hub for meeting and community; a platform for up-and-coming artists of all stripes, free from commercial interests; a summer getaway with a charming holiday camp atmosphere and, above all, loads of fun – switching off and letting our hair down together. A celebration by friends for friends and an ever-growing network of new supporters.
